About Best in Detail

Since 2005, Best in Detail has been offering professional detailing and maintenance work on all types of watercraft and automobiles. Over the years, Best in Detail has grown to offer the widest range of detailing services in Northern Michigan. Our main shop is located in Petoskey,Mi. However, we have recently expanded the range of our work to include areas as far away as Chicago.

We use the best products available on your watercraft and automobiles to ensure their look is in top condition. We treat not only your valuable possessions with the utmost care but you as a customer as well. For our watercraft services, we travel to your boat at the most convenient time for you.

We offer a free consultation for any size watercraft so you can be made aware of all the great options that Best in Detail has to offer- from a basic wash to the interior or exterior detailing. For automobile detailing, we offer pick up and drop off service!

Erich

Co-founder and owner

Erich, co-founder and owner, started Best In Detail when he was 17. He was a scholarship athlete at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. He received a B.S.B.A. with a minor in Marketing. In addition to Best in Detail, Erich is also a partner in other ventures.

Sara

working at Best In Detail

Sara has been working at Best In Detail for 5 years. In addition to improving Best In Detail she spends her winters out west, skiing competitively! Sara is studying to become a physical therapist and strives to one day work with professional athletes.

Matt

Crew Leader

Matt is a Crew Leader at Best in Detail. This is his 3rd year with Best in Detail and loves working in the detailing industry. In addition to working at Best in Detail, he is also a student at Michigan State University. Matt is majoring in general management and minoring in entrepreneurship. Prior to Best in Detail, Matt started a wedding videography business “Tip of the Mitt Videography” and has been filming weddings and business promotional videos across Northern Michigan.

Noah

Noah is currently a crew leader at Best In Detail. He played soccer and graduated from Petoskey High School in 2013. After that he volunteered in Kenya for 5 months as a teacher and working at an orphanage. He is currently a freshman at NMU studying Economics. He enjoys working at BID for the outdoors and the friendly atmosphere in the boating world.

Ryan

Cleaning

Ryan is from Hawaii living on the opposite end of the United States. He enjoys mountain biking and cleaning boats for Best In Detail in the summertime. Then he turns to a lot of snowboarding in the winter months. In his future he hopes to receive a degree in Marine Mechanics and own his very own Mastercraft.

Maci

Detailing boats

Maci is 23 years old and going to school to achieve a veterinarian technician degree. She would eventually love to become a dog trainer. She loves being outside in the summer and grew up on boats. This is will be her second year at Best in Detail and she enjoys everything about detailing boats!
